Solid surface consist of mineral dust (mostly marble) mixed with a variety of plastic resins and pigments. Solid surface's main appeal is that it is easy to fabricate and can create invisibly seamed countertops.

What is better, Granite or Quartz?

• Both are great countertops. Quartz has come along way over the years but still cant give the natural veining Granite does. However, Quartz is man-made, so there is no need to seal it.

Are Quartz and Quartzite the same?

• No! Quartz is a man-made material, while Quartzite is a natural material.

How often do you seal natural stone?

• Short answer, it depends. Long answer, depending on the type of sealer, the use of the kitchen, and how it is cleaned.
